  • Hello, I'm from Catonsville, Maryland, USA, and I want to thank you for showing this. I made these last week for a brunch held at my sister's house for my Mom's 87th birthday. I doubled the recipe since more than 30 people were attending, and I also added cooked sausage to half of the egg and green onion mixture. I wanted to let you know that they came out beautifully, and everyone was raving about them and how much they❤️the crispiness of the dough. They all wanted to know how I made them, so I showed them your channel. Thanks again for all your hard work in teaching these fantastic recipes. Take care!

  • Thank you for this beautiful video and for how to make such an old-fashioned comfort food. My father's family was from Texas, and he grew up on biscuits (and cornbread) and always loved them. I grew up all over the U.S., but spent the most time in Washington State. I have retired to rural France. I am currently in the hospital recovering from a hip replacement, but I am looking forward to getting home and being able to do simple daily tasks. I decided to stop drinking alcohol recently. With my new-found time (and money!) and also clarity, I want to begin taking pleasure in the doing of simple activities like walking, gardening, sewing, and cooking. Your channel is an inspiration!

  • This was the first video of yours I have watched and immediately subscribed. I am a former naval cook from Pennsylvania and love trying to make ethnic foods especially recipes that have been handed down through generations. I use all my grandmother's recipes all the time she was Czechoslovakian.

  • Wow, one of the best "how to cook" family recipes. I did exactly as you said by taking each step right along with you and the results were fabulous. THANK YOU VERY MUCH from a 72-year-old Grandpa who has made a new hit with his grandchildren. I hope I can pass it along for the next one hundred years in my own family.....wb

  • I love everything you teach us to make. I made the cabbage patties last Monday. They were good but I need to let the cabbage drain the water for longer. Thank you! 🙏🙏🙏

  • Thank You! What you are making here has been made for over 200 years in the Southern United States with just a little variation. I am 65 yrs old, and my Grandmother taught me how to make this kind of pastry. My family was from Virginia & Texas from the beginning of this country. I still make my biscuits this way ( but with a little baking powder). I have put eggs into them with sausage and bacon for breakfast too. I think the trick is the real butter! I will make them again since I saw your video and it brings a warm memory of generations past, now gone, but we can feel their spirit when we make their food. God Bless from my home here in Washington State.

  • Hi, I'm from Indonesia and I think it's fascinating how our ancestor can pass down recipes that is so similar even though we're in thousand miles apart! We have a very similar recipe here in Indo called Martabak Telur/Telor and it's basically the same thing, only we put the dough into oil and then deep fried the dough with egg+meat+spices filling. I'm curious in these baked version though, looks delicious!

  • Hi, I am from Arizona in the US and some of your recipes look fantastic! I do a lot of cooking because my diet is really strict (medical reasons) but I've learned how to go around certain things and replace certain things and still achieve a similar outcome. And some of your recipes just look surprisingly awesome so I will be trying them and I will let you know how it goes. I thank you for posting in detail your recipes because it really helps. Thank you! I'm looking forward to trying one tomorrow and I will let you know how it goes. I need to look at the translation so I can see what they are called but it's the hundred-year-old recipe from your grandma. Thank you again!~Jan🙂
