We wanted to see what would happen if real bullets looked like NERF Darts. We made metal NERF darts and shot them out of a 50 cal into fake ballistic heads, balloons, and water jugs.

  • So you'd know: Long enough ago, when cannons were still a new thing, it wasn't really known what the best ammunition is. It was common practice in Europe that cannons would occasionally fire round stones and sometimes a wooden rod a large metal arrowhead. The arrowhead was too large to fit into the cannon, so the whole giant arrow was longer than the cannon. These were pretty much the same ammunition as was used by ballistas. It wasn't until a while later when it was realized that the significant extra cost of making solid metal balls is well worth it. That's when the giant arrows became obsolete.

    • Arrows didn't become obsolete as much as they changed form to be better. Check out APFSDS ammunition.

    • @Aiden Pitts It would. Metal bends, thuis absorbs a lot of energy. It wouldve prevented a piece of the concrete from chipping. And while would you lift it out while swimming? just stand on the side of the pool..... And if you still cant manage put some clamps on it and attach rope to those clamps

  • Longer lenght (and denser) projectiles are also better at penetrating armor, that why tanks fire what's called Dart rounds or APFSDS (Armor-Piercing Fin-Stabilised Discarding-Sabot) and the longer rod helps puncture the armor deeper due to the continuation of energy transfer on the armor

    • @Sebastian G It’s California, the goal is to make the use of a firearm so impractical or downright dangerous that you’d actually be safer purchasing them off the black market, making it seem like the politicians are doing something about gun crime when in reality gun crime is correlated with all other crime, and all other crime is actually correlated with poverty. There’s a reason the poorest states are the most dangerous. Financially stable people don’t commit crimes. That’s also a massive tangent, but that’s really what it comes down to, people not being aware of the real issues in the country and then having politicians pretend like they’re trying to make a difference.

      Strangely UkrainianStrangely Ukrainian3 ай бұрын
    • @Strangely Ukrainian Correct. And because of that, it's legally not a firearm per the National Firearm Act and ATF rulings; black powder weapons, including revolvers that use black powder and percussion caps, are regulated as antique items (even if new production) and can even be legally purchased and owned by felons per 18 U.S.C. 921(a)(3) and (16); 27 CFR 478.11 and 478.141(d). Another fun side note; the prohibition on automatic fire applies even if you have guns firing in tandem through a Rube Goldberg machine (if one trigger pull fires more than one projectile in sequence), but that does not apply to black powder firearms, meaning that you can rig up a fully automatic black powder machine completely legally... which is entirely weird.

  • So I always thought the t was silent in sabot, but I looked it up recently and it turns out it's not according to Google anyway. I live in CNY and you used to not be allowed to hunt with rifles so rifled shotguns that fired sabot rounds got pretty popular. My brother dropped a white tail at 300 yards with one, which is pretty good for a shotgun I guess

  • The most amazing thing here is that the muzzleloader went off underwater.. i wouldn’t of thought any part of that system would be nearly waterproof enough, a normal bullet would probably seal the powder, but i can’t see even a 209 primer sealing up well enough to not get ruined

    Magnus SkiptonMagnus Skipton4 ай бұрын
    • Ya I thought that was neat, but then I figured that since its a modern muzzle loader its probably made better than the traditonal ones ppl think of. Also the sabot would be keeping the powder dry if its tight enough.

    • Repent and follow Jesus my friend! Repenting doesn't mean confessing your sins to others, but to stop doing them altogether. Belief in Messiah alone is not enough to get you into heaven - Matthew 7:21-23, John 3:3, John 3:36 (ESV is the best translation for John 3:36). Contemplate how the Roman empire fulfilled the role of the beast from the sea in Revelation 13. Revelation 17 confirms that it is in fact Rome. From this we can conclude that A) Jesus is the Son of God and can predict the future or make it happen, B) The world leaders/nations/governments etc have been conspiring together for the last 3000+ years to accomplish the religion of the Israelites C) History as we know it is fake. You don't really need to speculate though because you can start a relationship with God and have proof. Call on the name of Jesus and pray for Him to intervene in your life. - Revelation 3:20 Revelation has been unfolding since Jesus died. The Popes have claimed to be equal to God and set themselves in Jesus' place (antichrist(s)). Vatican City (Which is its own nation BTW) have risen up to fulfill the role of the false prophet Regarding the man of lawlessness or antichrist, 2 Thessalonians 2:4 says “Who opposes and exalts himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sits in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God.” The restrainer that the Apostle Paul was referring to in 2 Thessalonians was the Western Roman Emperor, who held back the Popes from taking power. Once the last Western Roman Emperor was removed from power in 476 AD, the Pope was given civil and ecclesiastic authority over Rome; healing the deadly head wound of the beast in Revelation 13, as they took the Emperors title of Pontifex Maximus, leader of the church and state. “We may according to the fullness of our power, dispose of the law and dispense above the law. Those whom the Pope of Rome doth separate, it is not a man that separates them but God. For the Pope holdeth place on earth, not simply of a man but of the true God.” (Source: “Decretals of Gregory IX,” Book 1, chapter 3.) Pope Pius V blasphemed, “The Pope and God are the same, so he has all power in Heaven and earth.” (Source: Pope Pius V, quoted in Barclay, Cities Petrus Bertanous Chapter XXVII: 218.) Pope Leo XIII declared, “We hold upon this earth the place of God Almighty.” (Source: Pope Leo XIII Encyclical Letter, June 20, 1894) The antichrist sea beast of Revelation points to the office of the papacy, the Popes of Rome, who controlled the Roman beast for 1,260 years, from 538-1798 AD. Daniel 7:25 says “And he shall speak great words against the most High, and shall wear out the saints of the most High, and think to change times and laws: and they shall be given into his hand until a time and times and the dividing of time.” The Popes of Rome spoke against Elohim and proclaimed to be God. They reigned for 1,260 years, from 538-1798 AD. during which they caused tens of millions of saints to be killed. The Pope’s title is Vicar of Christ, which in Latin is ‘Vicarius Filii Dei’, and equates numerically to the number 666

If you think belief in him isn't enough, you are either being deceitful or you've been going to... Well, actually, most churches here in Florida. Jesus died for our sins, and sincerely believing in him is enough to get into heaven. 2. When do you think the Roman empire was? When Jesus was alive, the Roman empire was already hundreds of years old. Persecution of the Jews was the entire thing Jesus was preaching against, and it's why he was crucified. Despite what revisionist history (ACTUAL revisionist history) would tell you, Jesus, if he was a real person, would've been a middle eastern Jew. More importantly, if you seriously believe that the entirety of history going back to Jesus' birth and before is fake, just know that you sound like you're insane. 3. I don't even know what to say about that last paragraph. What fucking drugs are you on?

  • thats not a muzzle loader. it might be labeled as that, and if it is, then it is mislabeled by the company. Muzzle loaders are firearms that load from the front of the barrel. this is known as breach loading, or break barrel loading. its a common loading method with older hunting rifles, some modern hunting weapons, various types of shotguns, and a large portion of air rifles available on the market.

  • 2:30 Modern Russian underwater rounds use cartridges that have the same overall length as a regular 5,45x39mm cartridge, but the projectile goes pretty much all the way down to the base of the case.

    • @Swatcomingbacklater Cared enough to post an insult. If you hadn't, you'd just ignored the comment and moved along. You caring even that much and the fact that I apparently violated your delusion of sovereignty over this comment section gives a perverse sense of validation to me. And I thank you for pleasuring me this way.
