    • @Doc James Burton yes it's a year old comment. But let me remind you, you made a comment about how upset you are about a guy who took all the prize money from a game for himself instead of sharing it with strangers, while he has no obligation to do so. And you said that 'money is meaningless' and it was 'just a game' thus why I said 'hypocrite'.

    Norene GarzaNorene Garza Жыл бұрын
  • David is smart. Yes, it would've been selfless of him if he had split it. However, he's the only one who answered the question. Had it been the whole row, and he was the last to answer, then that would've been a dick move. He doesn't owe anyone anything. Plus, he's not going to see those people again. They have no reason to be angry in the first place. Not like they knew they were coming to the show to win any money. Nothing gain, nothing lost.

    jENNA LOUISjENNA LOUIS Жыл бұрын
    • It's the same in both the cases, isn't it ? Like if everyone answered in his row and he decided to take all the money. He would never meet them ever again and there is no reason to be angry because it's not like they came to the show for money.

      SnailMailMagicSnailMailMagic6 ай бұрын
  • Why would the row be mad? They literally didn’t have to answer a single question. They earned nothing.

    • @Allison Hart 1) If the questions were so basic how come everyone didn't get it right? Yes, to the average person they are, but in this group of select morons it wasn't, so clearly there was work that needed to be done. 2) As you said, in this case people aren't actually pressed for money, so 100$ wouldn't matter to them, but a 1000$ could make a difference for him. And like you said, it isn't like the people are starving and he's denying struggling people the income they need in order to feed his pockets by being completely ignorant to their problems 3) The CEO may not work 200x as hard as the employee, but he had the ingenuity to start the business and make it into a successful establishment, something less than 0.001% of the population has the balls to do and the conviction to see through. Also, not to mention, if an employee makes a mistake, even a big one, it's often something that can be smoothed over quickly and doesn't have serious ramifications on the company's well-being and future. A CEO on the other hand makes decisions everyday that allow those same employees to keep their livelihoods and insures the future of that company. If he makes a mistake, all those people could lose their jobs and the company can fall to ruins.

      AdamAdam9 ай бұрын
    • I'm not sure why so many people are agreeing. Everyone should know that H2O is a molecule containing hydrogen and oxygen. It isn't "work" to get the answer, so it's disingenuous to compare it to an example where the person did have to work for their money. I don't think David is a bad person for choosing to keep the money, because yanno we live under capitalism and all. Also, chances are, anyone who is able to come out to a taping of a TV show isn't that poor. But, ideally...we all want to help others in our society, especially by spreading wealth we didn't do much to earn ourselves. People are supposed to assume the best in others and want what's best for them, but extreme capitalism has introduced a selfish "every man for themselves" mentality. Those people in his row probably didn't need the extra $100, true. But there's this mentality that no one should ever get anything (even basic necessities like food, shelter or medicine) they didn't "work hard enough to earn" by our standards. Meanwhile we don't have the same energy when a CEO makes 200x more a year than an employee, I guess the CEO just works 200 times harder right?

      Allison HartAllison Hart9 ай бұрын
    • @sambalaskas ...wow...good point!!! Technically, David did just as much work as everyone else. The issue and the error came from those in the row who answered incorrectly. No one in David's row participated in order to earn $100, or even $1.00. They did nothing. David is brilliant, financially speaking...

      Laurie JoLaurie Jo2 жыл бұрын
    • @Laurie Jo see these things sound great in an idealistic world but doesn’t work in the real world. It’s easy to say these things when it’s not happening to you. Sure I could say the same as you that “I would be nice and share the money with everyone” but when it’s you or I or anyone else up there, they would take the money for themselves. With your theory of being nice, would you starve yourself to give money to other needy people? If I really wanted to be nice, I would of taken the money and donated some of it instead of sharing it with the audience, plus it’s not like all of them answered any questions or anything, so they don’t really deserve it and “they didn’t get a chance to answer” is just dumb cause knowing the american education system, it wouldn’t have gone past 1 or 2 people in that row either.

    • I think so too. It's true it was his choice to make but why choose to keep all the money when there was a better choice of sharing "the love" with others? Come to think of it they could have been his team members had there been more questions to answer and the fact that you might probably not meet any of them again doesn't mean you can't be generous to them. You never know who you might be helping in a big way the little that you give and possibly making good friends in the process.

    • @Niskarsh Kumar then you should stay home instead of spending money on transportation, parking, likely dinner out and other expenses to go on this TV show as an audience member. If $100 is too expensive for you then so is going out. The premise of the show is that you’re going out to watch it (when you could watch it for free at home) and not to win money.

    • Hi! One of the people from David’s row here. 1) None of us were genuinely upset 2) As audience members, we’re directed to give big reactions to everything 3) We never had a chance to play 4) You do not get to pick your seats. It depends on the number of people in your group, etc. 5) Can confirm that David made it out relatively unscathed 😎

  • The three people at 12:27--especially the guy--were BIG MAD about losing out on $100. But they did nothing to earn it! If I were him, I'd sooner split the money with the people who answered questions--right and wrong, since that is what led to me at the end anyway!

    • @Ichijo Festival no one from his row answered any question so he didn’t owe them anything, now if the money was going to the people who answered before him then yes that would’ve been selfish, but it wasn’t, he got the money for a question he himself answered so he definitely earned it, it doesn’t have to be a hard question thats the game and he won.
