This works in the same way a turbine does. The water hitting the lead portion of the stick loses little energy to the stick resulting in the spinning. The force of push of the stick spinning translates through the length of the stick faster than the now slower moving water flow. The angle of the stick's curve at the trailing end, (slightly different from the leading edge), allows the now rotating stick constant to exert more force against the slightly slow flow. Great video.

Actually this is a wooden piece of a herb. Garuda sanjeevani. It's working by Newton's third law.The way these two laws work together is the reason behind the exceptional behaviour of Garuda Sanjeevani. When the waves are hitting the wood from beneath it helps it float. When force is applied to the wood by the waves, due to its spring-like shape an opposite force is applied. And it flows against the direction of water The concept of nut bolt is, anything that is placed in water, the water fills up the empty spaces. And the object is covered with water. This very same concept is applicable to springwood. The wood is covered with water and the voids are filled. And that same time newton’s third law will work. It gives the opposite and equal reaction, So the wood will flow against the water flow.

@hotnikles11 thanks for the reply. After watching it a couple more times I can see how he could make this work using small fishing line. It would not be hard to fake. They're a slight hand movements that help give it away as well.
@3DWHIZZ the same way. The only cool thing about the stick is when it’s being suspended by something (say fishing line) the spiral movement makes it wanna stay or “stick” for lack of a better word to or in the stream of water. In the case of the tap it would be perfect for holding the line slightly to the left, right or in front of the the tap. They have a scientific term for this I just can’t remember at the moment…. I hope this explanation makes sense for I am not a scientist just a carpenter. Also, I’m not very good at spelling using the correct grammar or punctuation.😅

@TripleEh416 You don't have much sense...
Think its played in reverse
Never thought I would be saying this but that is the coolest stick I've ever seen.
Oh come on there’s no way you didn’t say that when you were ten in the woods when you found a sweet walking stick
Amazing!!! This man is going to make millions! The fishing string that is attached to the screw is basically invisible 😮
Que interessante!!!😃
All joking aside, this is pretty cool. Even as an adult I want one!
what is the name of this stick?
I done the research and it is false, cool trick though, don't believe me, then do research on it and see if I am right or wrong, but I am right.
Great! Make some videos of those! Also invent a working perpetual motion machine with video please. Thx😁☝
I will check on the matter, and see if it is possible for that, I've never seen it before but it's interesting,, so I report back soon.
Wrong .. he is tied a thread 🧵 extra to lift the stick and move opposite to water direction.
If you observed that video you can understand that just a fishing thread. Because only magnet has attractive power . I can't believe this wooden piece just climb to a cup of water
After seeing this,.. Pissing will "Never"! be the Same 🏴☠️😬
Start. Stop. Repeat.
😆
We have one similar here in Australia. They are called darters because they can dart up your arse!!........ .😇🤭🤭🤭👍
😂 😂
Bu bir bitki kökü hatırlayamadım
@Osvaldo Riveros Martin Great comment!
Too much pot, take a break for five days.
Awesome nature showing us the shape/architechture to replicate and utulize once we understand how to tweak/control gravity.
Dá hora, por essa ninguém esperava
👍👍👍😂😂😂
I bet it's pretty hard to spiral a piece of wood like that. Now I'm going to have to make one. Damn it.
😃then on KZworld you see people's telling that is a ufo 🤣😂
Make a big one, attach it to a boat for up current riding. No energy required. Can be used for fun ride or saving lives. Good luck!!!
There is a string in the stick, ur imagination can kill you.. other else, you cannot oppose the current until you have greater force.
Isto mesmo🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷
Best idea bro 👍👍
Love how the stick stands up before it starts spinning. Real believable
@Siuol Sretlawprobably....but can you explain it going up the tap water stream?
Yes and he never showed the tip for more than a second and it seems to travel outside of the stream of water before he grabs it off you watch closely. Probably has someone with a fishing pole reeling it in. Lol
NOT JUST ANY STICK, Garuda herb stick when dried can actually do this, is only found in the Himalayas and has medicinal properties to treat of all things "snake bites" I wonder who was the first individual who dropped it in a river and it went upstream, probably went loco!!!
That's because of the rich spiral shape
By far one of the coolest things I've seen .
@Lance A nope, try again
Fishing line
@Joakim dngn Ch. Sir I heard It is a root of tree by name called sanjeevani which is having energy to flow against water flow direction.
This is a magic stick ,found in big bird nest... The ghy is lucky one who have this.... From Assam,India
What is that??!"
Is this like the ball above a fan thing? It's plausible enough, but does this actually have enough angular momentum to overcome the water drag?
😲🧐
Bhai is lakadi ka naam kya hai
That just looks so crazy cool 😎👍
Like you ! 😋👍
Fishing lines 😂😂😂😂😂😂
does it work inside a silicon cover as well?
This is pretty much the best thing I've seen in my whole life.
@International Golf snake
I can’t agree more.
Some one needs to come up with an idea to use this in new advancement in technology! Maybe for boats?
An application of the principle in the Archimedes screw. Very cool!
