  • I have heard people complain about how many jedi survived order 66. Yet, as said by Kanan, there were around 10,000 jedi defending the galaxy. Even if you have 100 jedi survive, order 66 still had 99% success rate.

    • Considering quite a few who survived either left the order before order 66 or were dark side users, it's higher than 99%

    • Yes, impressive. But I guess the problem is we were suposed to believe ALL Jedi were killed and Ben was the only one remaining, so Luke was actually the only hope. Then Yoda was also alive, then Leia was also "force sensistive", then more and more Jedi were actually alive... So order 66 seemed less terrifying.

  • imagine of all the surviving jedi came together on an unknown planet. they'd be able to slowly rebuild themselves and do their best to hide until they were ready to come back like the Sith

    • In the Thrawn books Palpatine is able to sense the presumably low-level force ability of Chiss Navigators from all the way out in the unknown regions when their connection with the force was broadcast through the fear they experienced when they were kidnapped and placed in stasis/cryo tubes. If he could detect just THAT from coruscant then he would certainly detect a bunch of Jedi training to USE THE FORCE. Remember that they (the Jedi) must connect with and use the force to grow in their abilities. So just training vigorously would be like sending up a big force sign for other force users to sense.

    • @Mr Primor Or it just simply means that force sensitivity on the level of an actual Jedi is incredibly rare in galactic population. In the movies we see a lot of Jedi because we are revolving around the places where they're most active (f.e. Jedi Temple) or major frontlines (Jedi commanders and generals). It might also explain why commoners in the SW Universe react so surprised when they encounter a Jedi.

      KillkorKillkor2 ай бұрын
    • @dark night what’s interesting to think about is: was it 99% of all Jedi killed in Operation Knightfall, or was it 99% of Jedi killed within a week? Month? First year? There’s a lot of story potential if we’re willing to see more Jedi that get introduced just to die in Order 66

  • I think it’s an odd coincidence that Luminara was captured rather than killed. I think there’s something more there, as if someone intentionally planned for that. Perhaps just as the Grand Inquisitor had already turned to the dark side before order 66, Barris had been offered a place in the inquisitorious…

    AJ MaldonadoAJ Maldonado3 ай бұрын
    • It was stated in the show Rebels that Luminara had a very strong connection with the force, that, even after death her bones were imbued with this essence for years. The Grand Inquisitor capitalized on this to lure and trap surviving Jedi. They basically didn’t know it till it was too late even though they were following a hologram of Luminara, they still felt her presence because of her corpse. This was probably the most morbid facet of Rebels.

  • I’d like a story of a jedi who pretends to turn to the dark side to save their own life but secretly works against the empire. It’d be more interesting for Vader to know the whole time but be intrigued by the jedi’s actions, leading to self-doubt in his actions. The series could end with Vader killing the Jedi, or the Jedi escaping somewhere.

    • @NEBC YT -Not Enough Brain Cells but something else you have to remember too, and this was confirmed recently, that whatever happens on Disney+, all the movies and shows, take top priority and things that get retconned from the books and comics are an afterthought. Not that what happened in the kanan comics didn’t happen at all, but it’s it’s own different kind of canon if that makes sense at all?

  • Number 20 on the list the unknown Rhodian Youngling could be one of two characters. 1. Female Rhodian Youngling Ganodi who made a few appearances in the clone wars 2. Male Rhodian Youngling Wee Dunn who was the force sensitive infant kidnapped by Cad Bane, later Rescued by Anakin and Ahsoka and brought into the Jedi order (Less likely as he’d only be 3-5 years old at the time of order 66 and that child looks to be more around 10? But he’s an alien so who knows)

I'd love a "collected edition" novel titled "Execute Order 66" that starts with the obvious from the films and goes through all of them telling the story of how many were killed and how some survived. All In one place. It could also clean up some of the less clear stories, how did shakk ti die? Who was on Kamino? How did Grogu escape?

  • What about Eno Cordova himself? We don't know what happened to him after he finished his research about the Zeffo. Whether he was killed during Order 66 too or he survived and waited silently for someone to follow his path. Maybe he knew that his time for a huge project like the rebuilding of the Jedi Order was up. It would be interresting if we would see him in his maybe last few years of his life in Jedi Survivor.

  • Personally I’m in the Camp that Plo Koon May still be alive. Or Atleast survived Order 66 (Him surving past the battle of Endor is up for debate… but he was originally written in to appear in the Mandalorian Season 2) - Reason why Plo Koon could still be alive: 1. Proven in KOTOR plo’s species has thick skin that can absorb heat and can survive multiple direct hits from a standard blaster bolt. Fire wouldn’t be a problem then. 2. Proven in KOTOR and in TCW S1E2, his species can survive several hours without Oxygen (as his species can not breath normal oxygen) and can survive in space vacuum without a special space suit. (Other than his normal breathing mask he has to wear to breath) 3. Clone Commander Wolfe, Plo’s Officer is one of the only known clones to willingly not commit order 66 while still having a control chip. (Unconfirmed theory being the head trauma that lost his eye also damaged his control chip, Gregor the other known clone who willingly didn’t execute order 66 also had significant head trauma which could have cause brain damage and or damaged their chips to where they no longer worked) 4. Real world Plo Koon is both Jon Faveru and Dave Filloni’s favorite Jedi. 5. As mentioned before Plo Koon was originally intended to appear in S2 of the mandalorian but Disney decided to change it to Luke Skywalker in late production of the show. Confirmed by Jon Faveru and Dave Filloni in an interview. And both have stated they want to use the character again. 6. He was also very impactful on Ahsoka Tano, he was the Jedi who brought her to the Jedi temple and the two shared a special bond that’s showcased through out the clone wars.

    Andrew RashAndrew Rash3 ай бұрын
    • @Steve Neighbour I believe I was mistaken, not KOTOR it was actually Jedi academy? Something like that came out in the early 2000’s it was a feature that was recanonized. It was originally a video game mechanic to make that species more desirable to play as and to also make them more of a challenge in combat.

    • @Klef she def died before Order 66 and Vos and Obi-Wan buried her on Dathomir, but they ‘buried’ her by sliding her body into this magical pool, so it wouldn’t be totally crazy for her to re-emerge alive in a green mist Mother Talzin style. This is what I headcanon bc her death was too sad in the book and made me cry!

      Blah BlahBlah Blah22 күн бұрын
    • @Birdee34 that makes sense however she could have still saved Grogu if that happened after order 66, but you're saying she didn't even make it until then which, honestly, does make sense from a canon perspective. However, just like they brought Maul back it is entirely possible that Ventress isn't actually dead and came to save Grogu. This is just a theory and it is extremely likely that it is not canon and will not be canon ever, BUT if it is true that would be SO much cooler than someone like an old librarian lady saving Grogu.

  • Some other Jedi that survived were, Kazdan Paratus (fled to Raxus Prime where he lived in exile until Starkiller found and killed him). We should also note that George Lucas confirmed Mace Windu survived being thrown out that window in ep.3 during an interview he had. Also Jedi Master Rahm Kota survived Order 66 and survived being killed by Starkiller and as far as we know is still alive.

  • Okokok wait a second. Master Yoda's death is a little more interesting to me these days. "Night falls, the hour of twilight is upon me." 1. Operation Nightfall.....Anakin kills younglings with the 501st behind him. 2. Anakin's freighter that he finds while saving Jabba's son., is named Twilight...... These events both accompany the Clone War's at it's beginning and end. maybe I am a s crazy as a little green dude hopped up on swamp gas, but I can hear and I listen especially when I close my mouth.

  • Grogu was spared and taken captive by Anakin on behalf of Palpatine. He was obsessed with cloning and immortality and Grogu was the perfect specimen to experiment on. Being he was a member of Yodas species, who are very strong in the force, and mature very slowly. This allowed Sidious more time to use Grogu until he became a threat by maturing and/or reaching his full force potential.
