You know, I've questioned what the meaning of life is for so long now, but never really came to anything certainly conclusive. Now you, you might be on to something.

@MN SV I saw a road between a park and a condominium building with a big, bright yellow traffic sign that read "ducks crossing" and it had an illustration of a duck with ducklings following it. If I recall correctly, it was to slow traffic to 10 miles per hour, too.

Almost every day there is a duck being run over and crushed in the condominium where I live and nobody does anything to protect these birds, and where my son lives the alligators continue to roam free even in the parking lot while the children are 'trapped' at home without the right to even go to the playground and also nobody does anything to protect these human beings.

I have to believe that although there are horrible people in this world there has to be more capacity for good and kindness in our world and as human beings in general. Some may say I’m naive but I prefer the term optimistic.

@Mr.Y first off it would be boring for a world to be peaceful because it would be a dead world void off the life we see around us today in our ecosystem expect for mosquitoes. Without war it would be no peace between continents without plants it would be no lusciousness of brown rich soil and beautiful grass and the aroma's of flowers. And to top it off without animals it would be no meat no produce given to sustain life on earth in general. So yes i have put myself in those shoes fully in my deductive abilities and a world like that will destroy our future generations. Us as a human race shaped this world to what we see that was beneficial to our survival eons ago to this day so why break it. Having a peaceful world and will kill us all because we will die off no matter what since it's 2022 regardless but the world we leave matters to the future after us and it needs that unbalanced nature to live grow change and adapt. So you have to accept this world we live in now because if it changes for the way in your mind then Earth will decline faster than you thought. Society is in decline but our mother Earth thrives on the life she has created over time because if she didn't care from the B.C. era to after A.D. we would not exist my friend. Open your mind to life instead of opinions from individuals who don't know they're lives are minute to the greater cause and will of an entity greater than us all which is life

@Shea Holloway Thank you for the good wishes. Beautiful sentiment, and I agree entirely. I hope we can all be reunited with our beloved ones, be them people or pets. I miss him every single day, sometimes more than others, but I never have had him out of my mind over the years. He unfortunately got cancer and wasn't able to live as long as he might have. Pets are a double-edged sword; on one hand, they are such a blessing to have in your life and give you so much comfort and so many memories, but on the other, you almost always outlive them and must bear the pain of losing something so close to you. It leaves a hole for sure. But, I do believe they are still worth it. The happy times you have been blessed with from them are worth more than the pain of losing them. You just have to hold on to those happy memories and remember how much joy and comfort they have given you. I wish your cat more happy years, and hope that they can continue to comfort you for as long as possible!

That’s loyalty! Good for her! Doctors and vets are tools for health but they are not the end all be all. Learn about your body, learn about your animals- use natural medicines & let the Master healer/God do the work He loves to do!!!

I'm pretty sure that a shark knows it's a shark and a rat knows it's a rat...Just look at domestic cats, they kill billions of animals each year in America alone, for sport... They know exactly what they're doing and what they are.

@pip fox There have been shark charter tours running down there for many years now. In a world where every morsel past its lips must be hunted for, an easy bit of burley from a boat would have them getting very used to boats and people, I would think. Trouble is, they can't tell the difference between a shark charter and any other human operated watercraft, but they would surely love an easy feed in an ocean of diminished fish numbers.

It is indeed a fact that animals ask humans for help. There is a friend of mine, who had an encounter with a dying mother cat in the neighbourhood. She came to him and laid down a kitten (yes, one kitten, as I don't know if there were others or not), then went off and died. That kitten was so loyal to him when it grew up.

I live in a rural area, several acres, mostly wooded. Have a creek that runs behind and to side of my house, and there's about a 20 foot waterfall that starts up in winter time or during heavy rains. Several years ago creek was pretty high after good rain in the winter, and when it's like that the current is real strong. I saw something on the bank. Go closer and see a raccoon half in water half on the creek bed just hanging on to the grass for dear life. Afraid to grab it in case he bit me, grabbed a garden hoe I had right there. The second I walked up to him, he reached up to me with one paw, and as I moved the hoe to scoot him up he immediately grabbed onto it and I dragged him up. He just laid there exhausted, and then I realized his hind legs weren't working. Reading up, found that is a symptom of rabies, but I think more likely he got swept over the waterfall onto the rocks and broke his back. Tried calling around, no one was helpful at all. So, I put him in a big storage tote with some blankets and put him in a bedroom. Gave him some dog food and he chowed it down lol. Came home from work next morning and he didn't make it. Kind of glad because I had no idea what I would've done with him being paralyzed, but it was still sad. Just blew me away though when he reached up for me to help get him out of the water, first time I"d ever experienced anything like that. I love telling that story because so many people don't realize what animals are capable of. It's always, oh it's just a fish, raccoon, possum, etc.

The simplest, easiest, kindest thing to do for our fellow Earthlings is to simply not eat them.

Ive had a few friendly experiences with squirrels, they seem to not mind us which is just so damn pure

God made us and the animals to understand each other, if we will only listen. A cat's cry for help and a dog's whine for the same are not much different than ours, are they? We can understand each other. When a bear stands up on its rear legs and roars at us, does that mean he is happy and wants to play? Is the bear any different than a large, angry dangerous man? God made signals between the species recognizable, not opposite or hidden.

@catalot tbh im also a little scared of them lol !! its nice that you make the effort even though they scare you :) its funny to think that theyre also very scared of us and depending on the type of spider, they have a lot more reasons to be afraid of us !! thats part of why i dont like killing anything, there’s researches about how most every animal has some type of reaction that indicates they’re afraid, i feel so bad that these animals understand and are scared to die - also if you keep spiders alive they eat flies and mosquitoes so less of that to worry about so thats a bonus (sorry for the huge reply)

I’m afraid of spiders but I always catch them and take them outside, even if all my hair is standing up. ;)

Yea. I think this is very common. A lot of people help animals in danger but some of this animals in their distress turn wild. I love animals I have a pet, a Rottweiler. Do you have any?

@BEAUTYnIQ what a dumb and egotistical comment. Humans are animals, go into the savannah and see if you are "top" predator then. Animals see us as equals. There's many studies showing animals have empathy and can form special connections to people. They don't judge others on species or skin colour. Animals exist on their own accord, humans need to stop trying to use their egocentric feelings and religion to try justify abuse and hatred towards animals. Any animal who brings happiness to a person is worth more than you, that's for sure.

I somewhat agree with you my friend. I am a huge animal lover, but I also love people. The assistance to the saving of a human soul is the most important thing that we can do outside of ourselves! Jesus offers us eternal life if we only choose it! Why wouldn't we want everyone to know this truth and to enjoy it?
